Beavertown began life 11 years ago in a tiny BBQ joint in Haggerston, North London. In 2020 we opened BEAVERWORLD, our Out of this World brewery & mothership in Enfield. Alongside our Lockwood Brewery in Tottenham Hale and our micro-brewery at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium we have the capacity to brew a staggering 90 million pints a year.

The Role
Fancy joining an innovative company where you’ll monitor and develop all aspects of Health and Safety at all Beavertown sites, working closely with all departments to foster safe ways of working and embodying a culture of safety awareness? In this role, you’ll support Beavertown in providing a safe working environment by implementing established safety frameworks for all employees, contractors, and visitors to work safely on site.
Leveraging Health and Safety Policies and Standards of Beavertown Breweries with continuous improvement in mind, you will help to safeguard the team and sites against health and safety risks.
You’ll help the team to implement, upkeep, and validate safe ways of working and partner with the SHE Compliance Department in incident reporting and documentation so we can continue to produce great quality beer that satisfies our customers and consumers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety Lead in all relevant subjects related to the department
  • Assist with achievement of appropriate certification for all sites where Health and Safety input is required
  • Carry out Health & Safety related training and refresher training as required including new starter inductions
  • Communicate efficiently with the wider team in providing support and guidance to other departments on the implementation of standards and controls in line with HSE regulations and advice including any critical changes or updates
  • Communicate efficiently within the Quality & Compliance Department, and externally with the wider team
  • Attend relevant Health and Safety meetings and activities
  • Implement and validate health and safety related processes (near miss and incident reporting, first aid kits, PPE standards etc.) including continuous improvements in line with internal and external standards.
  • Stock management, distribution and issuance of personal protective equipment and safety related training activities (online and in-house)
  • Support investigation of incidents (near miss, first aid, lost time and RIDDOR), carry out root cause analysis and corrective action setting and review with affected individuals and team leads including carrying out occupational health assessments with employees where required and in support of the People function
  • Complete short-term Health and Safety projects within the team
  • Partner with the Health & Safety Lead to manage and maintain third party contractor relationships in relation to health and safety concerns
  • Data collection, recording and analysis including preparation of weekly reports and KPIs related to Health and Safety which should be accurate and digestible by all individuals attending
  • Co-ordinate with Health & Safety Lead on relationships with contractors / service providers and other teams within the business in developing and maintaining SLAs that outline Health and Safety expectations.

 

What You’ll Bring To Us

  • Qualifications in a technically related discipline or relevant area experience
  • Knowledge of MS-365
  • Data management and analysis experience
  • First class communication skills
  • Attention to detail, diplomacy, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work with teams on health and safety concerns
  • Ability to understand and implement health and safety terminology and concepts including regulations and legislation
  • External H+S related qualifications or certifications e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate, Fire Safety Certificate, Environmental Safety Certificate desirable
  • Estates / facilities or commercial experience desirable
