The Beavertown Extravaganza is HERE

6 Jan 2017

Since we started brewing back in 2012 we’ve harboured a bit of a dream to one day be able to bring together the best breweries in the world and marvel at what they do. Over the last 5 years those breweries have become our best friends and comrades. In February 2016 we had our first stab at getting our nearest and dearest breweries to come and celebrate all that is good in the UK craft beer scene. We quickly discovered on that fateful February day that people were absolutely crazy for the idea, a little too crazy for our little Brewhouse in Tottenham to take so we had 2 choices. 1, give up on the dream or 2, go big. We decided option 1 was really boring so we plumped for option 2, and now we’re ready to tell you just how big we have decided to go!

The Beavertown Extravaganza will showcase the finest brewing talent the world has to offer. It will be a spectacular, great exhibition of beer.

On Friday the 8th September and Saturday 9th September at Printworks London – a 95000 sq ft former newspaper factory in Canada Water – we will host more than 60 of the worlds great brewers. Each brewery will be serving 2 taps of beer, rotating those taps with different beers over the two days. All the beers served to you will be in peak condition, there won’t be any 2 month old IPA’s or dulled pales, cos we’re going to be getting those kegs on a plane and flying them over with the brewers from each of the breweries in tow. As well as getting to drink super fresh beers served to you by the brewers themselves we’ll also be launching the 2017 Rainbow Project collabs at The Beavertown Extravaganza and hosting talks, break out sessions and seminars curated by top beer journalists throughout the two days.

None of this would be possible without a little help from our friends and sponsors:

Ardagh Group – Glassware
Experts in metal and glass, these are the bad boys that make our cans – so they must be cool.
Ardagh Group manufactures packaging for the world’s biggest brands. We have a reputation for innovation; pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, pioneering new production methods, new design techniques and new ways to recycle and save energy. The unprecedented growth of our business has been driven by our unrivaled expertise, obsession with quality and commitment to continuous improvement.

Simpsons Malt – Volunteer Hospitality
Crafters of the spine of our beer and bloody great people.
Since 1862, when James Parker Simpson founded his first maltings in Alnwick, Northumberland, Simpsons Malt has been a family business. Today, Richard and Peter
Simpson drive the Simpsons brand forward, together with father, Simon Simpson OBE. And, as an independent, family-run business we invest in those areas of the business where we see room for improvement or innovation.

SimplyHops – Brewers Hospitality
Cultivators of the little green gods we worship every day.
We really do use as much of the hop as possible. As well as providing the highest quality whole hops and the most carefully produced pellets, we also use extracts from all part of the plant to produce advanced hop products such as Antifoams, Head stabilisers, PHAs and so, so much more. You’d be surprised how much you can get from one little plant and we have big plans for even more!
