Social Media & PR Assistant

 

Role Overview

The aim of this role is to coordinate all social media platforms, assist with the creation of content and manage all upload across the brand’s social networking sites.

We’re looking for a web savvy individual to propose new ideas for the effective delivery of social media and ad campaigns, design eye catching content to drive traffic on the website and  manage our existing customer database to ensure appropriate contact is maintained.

As the Social Media & PR Assistant you will be a creative thinker and deliver various company promotions including a subscription service, attract and connect with influencers/bloggers within the industry and provide ad-hoc support to the wider Marketing team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage social media channels including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
  • Propose new ideas for the effective delivery of social media and ad campaigns
  • Design eye-catching posters, flyers and e-shots to drive traffic to the website
  • Manage existing customer database to ensure appropriate contact is being maintained
  • Deliver various company offers and promotions including a subscription service
  • Liaise with local businesses to discuss partnerships and collaborations
  • Attract and connect with Influencers, Bloggers and Vloggers within the industry
  • Researching and writing copy
  • Resizing images
  • Uploading images and content to social platforms
  • Link building to improve SEO
  • Nurture existing blogger relationships and source new bloggers that are a fit for the brand
  • Explore and keeping up to date with advances / changes in social media
  • Admin tasks such as sending out prizes, managing blogger database and invoicing
  • Providing ad-hoc support to the wider Marketing team

 

Skills and experience required:

  • Ideally be from a Social Media or PR background, having either studied it as part of their degree or previous experience in a similar role
  • A solid understanding of social media and confident using all social media platforms
  • An obsession with attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • A strong communicator – confident in sharing ideas and social thinking
  • Good eye for photography
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Basic Photoshop skills
