Social Media Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

Beavertown is looking for an experienced individual to join the team as a Social Media Manager. This role will have people management responsibilities.

You understand how Social can build a brand. You have great knowledge of the channels and how you can construct brand equity and a point of view through social. You understand the power of a fully functioning Editorial Content approach, how this drives engagement and delivers brand growth.

You will have launched products, campaigns and new activity through social. These delivered not only against the business need but those of the customer as well. You’ll be consumer insight driven, and have an eye for detail and analysis.

All in all, you are a positive and a people person, who leans into every challenge, every campaign, everyday. You inspire, deliver and collaborate. You’ll be a positive force, who will put skin in the game and want to produce the best possible work.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Social is at the heart of Beavertown’s Marketing activity. It’s been a keyway to spread the word about the brand since the early days.
  • As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for the development, shaping and implementation of the Social Strategy. This unique and future-proof strategy will be delivered across all aspects of Beavertown’s social media channels.
  • Our social channels are always on, and you will lead and manage the delivery of the Social arm of key Brand activity, leading and supporting Multichannel Brand Campaigns, Editorial content and much more, across both Paid and Owned. You will work closely with the wider Communications teams, collaborating, building and delivering Brand growth.
  • You will need to be Creative and aware of Social trends. This is second nature to you and this knowledges oozes form you.
  • Our editorial and content strategies should be underpinned by audience insight and trends – which are identified through social listening and reporting. You can successfully take these insights and analytics to influence what you do and how you do it.
  • You also take internal teams (and wider) with you to demonstrate the measurable impact of our Social activity and how it delivers against business objectives.
  • You’ll have a great knowledge of Social Paid Activity, ideally having managed Media agencies and budgets previously. You’ll also build solid and close relationships with key Social Media Channels, and partners, such as Facebook/Instagram, YouTube, and Google.
  • You will be buttoned down. You will be responsible for Social Crisis Management, if and when something challenging happens.
  • You will be a Leader and a Manager in your current or previous role. You will manage a Social savvy team, setting objectives and behaviours for the team to deliver against the Strategy and business goals.
  • People manager and leader. You will understand how important internal Culture is to get the job done. No job is too small or too big. You do by leading from the front and supporting from the back. You promote a positive working environment built on trust and good old-fashioned hard work.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE

 

  • Experience of creating Social Strategies and Managing a team of people to deliver it.
  • Extensive experience working in Social Media Marketing is necessary, including paid, owned and earned.
  • Extensive experience of Leading and Managing Social Campaigns.
  • People Leadership, ability to set direction for the team and performance manage to set objectives and behaviours.
  • People Leadership, ability to set direction for the team and performance to manage set objectives and behaviours.
  • You love Social and Culture. You know a trend before it happens and you understand why it’s happening.
  • A force for positive change and excited by Social and Brands.
  • Leadership skills – you have managed Marketing teams and individuals previously. You have the ability to set goals and focuses for the team. With the team you will deliver on time, on budget and on brand.
  • Understand of how paid media works in Social (ideally both Direct Response and Brand).
  • Budget, including paid media accountability.
  • Excellent communicator to Leadership level.
  • Your approach is always being bang on culture. You are calm in a crisis. Positive on a Monday, and fit with our special Beavertown approach.
  • Solid Marketing and Brand management experience. To put it directly – you know what you are doing. You’ve built brands. You understand audience and have delivered against Insights.
  • You’ll have a proven track record of working on, executing and evaluating campaigns, across multiple channels.
  • You will have had experience of managing and working with Social, PR, Creative and Media teams. Having led both internal and external teams and agencies to delivering successful Communications activity.
  • Solid knowledge of budgets, brand Measurement and Analytical approaches.
  • Knowledge of customer lifecycles and journeys. As well as Loyalty and reward initiatives, schemes and experience.
  • Sponsorship B2B and B2C experience is a positive. Having worked with 3rd parties to deliver campaigns and benefits for the brand.
  • Leadership skills – you have managed Marketing teams and individuals previously. You have the ability to set goals and focuses for the team. With the team you will deliver on time, on budget and on brand.
