Export Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting into our Commercial Director, this is a newly created role and will be responsible for growing Beavertown’s Distributor relationships world-wide.

As the Export Manager you will be responsible for understanding how the global beer markets work and how to identify who the best partners are for us to work with now and in the future.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand how the different global beer markets work and who are the best partners for Beavertown to work with now & in the future
  • Ensure UK brand & sales strategy is identically executed across all Beavertown’s export markets
  • Be an expert on how to activate successfully across different global beer markets
  • Develop a growth plan for Beavertown to outperform the competitive set in all export markets where the brand is present
  • Create a long term strategic plan for Beavertown that identifies and prioritises the markets for Beavertown to extend into
  • Perform regular KPI based performance reviews with all of our distributor partners
  • Create ongoing sales arguments to help support our export partners in their respective markets
  • Gather and use customer feedback to identify customer and market needs and challenges
  • Have regular KPI based performance reviews with line manager
  • Ensure Beavertown in the number 1 priority for our distributor partners
  • Achieve monthly & annual targets e.g Volume / NSR per Hl
  • Represent Beavertown Brewery at promotions, tastings and special events
  • Be available for evening & weekend customer meeting/events

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE

  • Previous export market management experience – preferable
  • This role will be majority field based. You will have the ability to travel and be in the market 80% of the time
  • Strong capability to influence others to focus on our brands ahead of our competitors
  • A strategic awareness to understand what is required to succeed across a wide and varied distributor base
  • Proven analytical skills and an understanding of syndicated data
  • Proficient in influencing others to focus on our brands ahead of others
  • Comfortable working independently to achieve business goals
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Be available for evening and weekend customer interaction at meetings and events
  • Demonstrate a passion for our brand!
