National Account Manager (On-Trade)


Role Overview

As our On-Trade NAM you’ll develop and enhance Beavertown’s relationships with a specific base of national and regional On-Trade groups across the whole of the out-of-home sector. You’ll have a direct responsibility for all On-Trade groups and will be responsible for not only meeting, but exceeding our customers’ expectations.

We’re looking for someone to grow and enhance our national and regional customer sales, achieve sales goals by developing compelling commercial propositions for our customers.

You will have strong negotiation principles and the technique to make sure the right commercial outcome is achieved, ensure our brand execution in the market is in line with brand values and imperatives and develop and sell and implement out-of-home activation principles.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Grow national and regional customer sales using strategies that build long term mutually beneficial growth
  • Work with the Commercial Director to achieve sales and distribution goals by developing compelling commercial propositions for our customers
  • Ensure on an ongoing basis the brand execution in the market is in line with brand values and imperatives
  • Be recognised as our preferred customer partner within the craft category
  • Achieve monthly & annual off trade targets e.g. Volume/NSR
  • Work within designated cost pricing corridors
  • Develop, sell, and implement Out of Home activation principles and programmes
  • Communicate sales results on a weekly and monthly basis to the Commercial Director
  • Monthly planned meetings with all customers
  • Optimise opportunities within customer base
  • Represent Beavertown Brewery at promotions, tastings and special events
  • Seek out beer related educational opportunities and keep up to date by reading industry publications
  • Be available for evening and weekend customer meeting/events
  • Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by management

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience managing a leading UK On-Trade group
  • Ability to take the initiative to gather and use customer feedback to identify customer and market needs and challenges
  • Proven analytical skills and understanding of syndicated data is required
  • Demonstrated diligence and ability to follow through on all commitments (internal and external stakeholders)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrated technical skills required for the preparation of professional and effective sales presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve performance goals with a minimum of direction
  • A passion for craft beer as well as being well-connected to the craft brewing community
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 25% of working time
