CARAVAN X BEAVERTOWN 4 course Spresso dinner
Miles Kirby, co-founder of the all-day dining restaurant, Caravan, joined forces with our very own Logan Plant, to create ‘Spresso’, a couple of years back. This years brew is the third iteration and we have been tweaking and refining the recipe together since that first brew.
Spresso 2016 hit the market back in December and it flew out, but we kept a few cans back for this.
Now as if straight up Spresso wasn’t enough, we’re also letting you get your face round our barrel aged version of this beast. This is our 2015 brew of Spresso that has been sitting in Heaven Hill barrels for the last 18 or so months, just mellowing out.
Caravan & Beavertown have long chatted about the opportunity to celebrate Spresso properly and now we have finally found the time to do it. To that end Caravan have carefully curated 4-course dinner menu will include dishes such as ‘Scallop ceviche, lardo & bergamot’ and ‘Mutton shoulder, chermoula & fried aubergine relish’ each chosen to complement 4 very different beers – one of which being Barrel Aged Spresso. Miles and Logan have worked together to match each dish with a different Beavertown beer and will be educating guests on the profiles of each and the process of pairing food with beer and coffee – as well as a chance for guests to try the limited edition Spresso.
The Spresso dinner will take place at Caravan Exmouth Market on 6th February. Miles & Logan will open the doors at 7pm for drinks, nibbles and discussion, with the first course served promptly at 8pm. Tickets cost £45 a head which includes the 4-course set menu paired with Beavertown beers (service not included). Additional drinks can be bought on the night.
