Beavertown Sour Solstice 2018

30 Jun 2018

Blessed be to you Beaverfans!

Litha, Midsummer, Alban Heffyn, Summer Solstice – call it what you like, since the times of the ancients the longest day of the year has always been cause for celebration and here at Beavertown we love nothing more than to bow before Mother Nature and the divine gods and godesses of the universe, particularly because they have furnished us with all that we need, from the tiniest bacteria to the mighty oak tree, to brew some spectacular, complex, natural beers – beers as organic in their nature as life its self.

On Saturday 30th June (a few days after the Summer Solstice) Beavertown will be hosting a gathering to celebrate all things sour & wild in the world of beer. This years event will have a strong focus on British and Irish sour and wild beers with one notable exception. We’ve roped in some pretty special breweries….

1. Burning Sky

2. The Kernel Brewery

3. Little Earth Project

4. The Wild Beer Co.

5. Land & Labour

6. Brouwerij De Brabandere

We have asked each brewery to bring a selection of kegs, as well as this we will have a selection of Beavertown Tempus Project beers on tap as well as the odd hoppy palate cleanser!

This is a free to enter event, beers are to be purchased in 1/3rds as you go along.

We will also have delicious food from Souvlaki Street and Soffles Pitta Chips.
