Normcore is created by our brewer Jonathan Hamilton and this is what he has to say about it:

“Brewed for the cold winter months in London, inspired by a passion for a good Porter, and a fascination in lager fermentations. After much umm-ing and ahh-ing about whether or not to add anything to it, or barrel age it, complicating the process and muddling the taste of an otherwise tasty beer, I decided to release the beer as is, uncompromised, not dressed-up, Normcore.

The nose is alluring with notes of milk chocolate, plum and a wiff of freshly ground coffee. The flavour is clean and complex. A nice level of bitterness helps to balance out the sweetness from the malt. Notes of coffee, cacao and a slight smokiness is transformed into a delightful blend of dried figs, walnut and fudge. The finish is long and dry with notes of freshly roasted coffee.”
