Beavertown podcast #1 – Barrelworks+Tempus Project

16 Nov 2016

Yesterday we had the legend Jeffers from American Firestone walker here at the brewery. Jeffers started and developed FW’s barrel ageing program  Barrelworks,  so it is needless to say we were VERY excited to have him as our guest. Not only did he spend time with our team, talking about acid and taste but he also took part off a 3 hour tasting and Q&A in our Barrel room together with Logan, Jenn and 30 lucky ticket holders.

The beer on the menu was a mix of Firestone Walker’s Barrelworks and our Tempus Project – so obviously, we were in for a evening of wood, wild and ageing. (full beer list further down)

Together we tried 10 different beers paired with some great cheese from Neal’s Yard, meat from Cannon & Cannon and bread from E5 bake house

We wrapped up the event with a perfectly nerdy Q&A about barrels, home brewing and how it all started really. Logan asked the questions and the answers of wisdom were pouring out of Jeffers and our head brewer Jenn.

And…THE GREAT NEWS IS: We recorded it for you

(Podcast disclaimer: This is recorded in an open barrel room with an audience, hence the sound. Should be fine though, max up that volume … go on)
